We're running Pitstop Pro 13, but don't seem to have the option to assign page range using the 'R_' id.
Is that specific to a newer version, or are we missing something?
Thank you for your help.

Re: Targeting 2nd to last page
The first step in the Action List is 'Select pages' using variable names with the following attributes:
Select: page range: [Number of pages]
Select: page range: [Number of pages]

Targeting 2nd to last page
Hello I'm trying to limit the execution of an Action List to the second to last page of a PDF in a very simple flow. I have an Enfocus Pitstop Server configurator where the Action List is a specified file, and the Variable Set is a 'single-line text with variables defined'. In that definition I am u...

Process only files in a directory - leaving directories
This seems like it should be a simple thing to do, what with all of the hierarchy processing tools, but I can't seem to get it to work. I want to pull only files from a directory, leaving subdirectories where they are - because the destination directory for these files is at this level. The structur...

Vanishing directories
I'm running into an issue with the Pitstop Server 11 update 1 and Switch 11 update 3 on a Win2k3 Server. After not having any issues with the combination on our DEV server, I rolled it out to production and now we're having directories vanish. After having performed the update last night, I validate...

Target a page according to bookmark presence?
It seems like an unusual question, but we have a situation where we would like to target a page for a particular action, identifying the page based on the presence of a bookmark. It appears that javascript can identify bookmarks, but are there other ways to use bookmark information in a PDF to trigg...

Directory Monitoring across a network
A good suggestion, but it rendered the same result - nothing.
I even tried changing the 'Leave originals in place' to NO and using a blank text file for the test file, and no notification was generated.
I'm thinking I will suggest another method be used for the directory monitoring request.

Directory Monitoring across a network
I did try adding an automanaged directory, but the result was the same when monitoring a mapped network drive - the files are visible in the files pane of Switch's designer view, but no acknowledgement of the file's presence by Switch. Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Jim

Timed emails - reminders
Can you use the 'Fail jobs after timeout' and then set the 'Fail connection' destination to a directory with an email notification attached to it? You could set the timeout delay to 60 minutes; move it to the 'Fail connection' destination that generates an email; hold it there for a day using the ti...

Directory Monitoring across a network
Someone in our company has asked if we could setup something up in Switch to monitor a directory and send an email notification when a file arrives. Simple flow, we do this sort of thing all the time on our servers - but they want to monitor a directory on another mapped network drive, and that's wh...

Script error - undefined member 'numPages'
I'm having issues with the following javascript, which is meant to add the filename to the last page of the file. While the code listed below works fine as a part of an Acrobat Action (in versions 8-X, minus the jobArrived piece) I get errors referring to undefined member 'numPages'. I know that jav...

Creating Screen Reader accessible PDFs from Word docs in Switch
When I convert a Word doc to PDF manually (on the server where Switch resides), I'm using Word 2010's 'Save as...' function with the 'Standard' settings. I'm thinking this may be where the problem lies - PowerSwitch 10 doesn't support Word 2010, so I'll install Switch 11 on our test machine and see ...

Creating Screen Reader accessible PDFs from Word docs in Switch
I'm afraid we don't have any control over the construction of the Word documents, but creating a PDF manually does result in it being screen reader accessible.

Creating Screen Reader accessible PDFs from Word docs in Switch
Does anyone have any success stories creating screen reader accessible PDFs from Word docs? It's a new topic for us, and I've tried a number of different Word to PDF applications without success - although I'm not certain there isn't some configuration setting I'm missing. We're using Word 2010 in c...
