Re: simple placement of pdf A directly on pdf B
I'm not quite sure if this is what you are asking for, but if you "just" want to place a PDF with black (text) on top of a 4-color PDF, I have done that with a 164 page catalog in 15 languages using Switch and Pitstop Server. • First make sure that you have single page PDF's ( you can use ...

Re: Script change from CS6 to CC 2017
Problem solved! Even though I had already deactivated and reactivated the Illustrator configurator from within Switch without any effect the "trick" of closing down Switch and manually starting PackManager separately seems to work different. After doing this the script now works with CC 20...

Re: Script change from CS6 to CC 2017
Well, yes. The script works fine if you run it manually in Illustrator CC 2017. It also works in Switch using the configurator for CS 6 but not using the configurator version 7 (for Illustrator CC 2014, 2015 and 2017).

Script change from CS6 to CC 2017
I have been using the following java script with the Adobe Illustrator configurator i Switch for a long time. It simply crops to the art box and add a margin of 3 pixels. Up until now it has been running in Illustrator CS6. After upgrading to CC 2017 Switch returns an error that says: "Dynamic ...

Acrobat Security settings
I have run into a problem when calling Acrobat via the configurator in Switch. I simply want Acrobat to save a PDF into different formats like Word, Plain Text, HTML and others. This works fine for me on my own setup on both Mac and Windows. However, when trying to do this on a costumers Windows Ser...

Re: Trying to split a PDF in 3 different peaces
Hey, I just found that you can actually do it all in one action. If you open the one page document, make an action that inserts two new pages. Then select Page 1. Copy the selection to clipboard. Select page 2 and paste the content of the clipboard. Repeat this for page 3. This way you have a three ...

Re: Trying to split a PDF in 3 different peaces
If you duplicate the first page twice, so that you end up with a document that contains three identical pages. I'm not sure that this can be done in Pitstop, but if you have Switch it's easy. Otherwise you could duplicate the page manually in Acrobat. Then you make an action, that selects the first ...

Re: How to sync two folders?
No, that won't work. This will only copy any file placed in folder A to folder B. I'm not aware of any way to sync two folders as you are requesting, in Switch. However, there seems to be plenty af software out there capable of automatic syncing of two folders - just not running inside Switch.

Re: Extract images from PDF
Thanks a lot, Jan. I'll definitely have a closer look at this solution. Meanwhile I found out, that if you let the Acrobat configurator save as XML it actually creates a folder containing all images :o . In the Acrobat preferences you can even choose between JPEG, PNG or TIFF and determine the resol...

Re: How to sync two folders?
If folder A is a Submit Hierarchy (with "leave originals in place" and "Set hierarchy path" both set to "yes") and folder B is an Archive Hierarcy with the same number of subfolder levels, I see no reason why that wouldn't work.

Extract images from PDF
Acrobat has a function to export all images from a PDF as JPEG, JPEG 2000, PNG or TIFF. Is this possible using a script with the Acrobat Configurator in Switch?

Re: Selection and removing CMYK objects apart from spot objects
You could either do as bens suggests to select everything you want to remove or maybe it is more safe to remove everything BUT the things you want to keep. The later could be done with an action like this: Select all Select line art Select all spot colors AND NOT Remove selection Using this method y...
