We saw this in several flows and have reported this issue to callas.
It has not affected any of our flows.

Why involve Switch (although I love Switch) - just run this as a windows scheduled task...

This can also be done using callas pdfToolbox.

Export proper images of the PDF and embed them into PPT via scripting. Should be possible.

The callas pdfTooolbox (Server) can do this for you.
If you want to post a sample file I´ll process it and return the PDF.

In case you want some "proper" PDFs - have a look at the callas pdfToolbox Server, which is able to create PDFs from images.

Do you create a valid XML after changing the value?
Is Switch able to pickup the XML in general (try a pickup in another dev flow please).

You also can use a "Split PDF" with [Index_], rename the pages you want to reorder and finally "Merge PDF" again.

I´d use callas pdfToolbox for this.
The pdfToolbox is a bit more clever, because it lets you easily strip e.g. the last two page in reverse order.

I´d use ncftp client command line (and have done this before with success).

You may want to build LFTP or http://curlftpfs.sourceforge.net on your windows / os x box.

This can be done with the "Submit Hierarchy" and "Archive hierarchy" tools.

Can you provide your flow and sample files (original and desired result)?

You may run the switch watchdog under a named user. This user should have access to your office installation.

For those requirements we always use the job injector.

There are many fixed build binaries available we already use with success.
