The hint about preflight put me on the right track. This works. Thanks!

In order to reduce the file size of incoming PDF's I want to "save as" the pdf as "Adobe PDF, optimized".
But in the configurator for Acrobat Professionnal this save option is not available.

Has someone done this before? How can this be achieved?
