Hi All,
We're running Switch on a Mac and direct Switch output to Press's Jobs volume mounted on the desktop. However, this volume disappears with reboots of the press. Are there any options to reestablish connectivity to the press short of manually doing a command-K and logging back in to mount it?
thanks,
Roger

How to maintain or restablish connectivity from Switch to HP/Indigo press
Hi Roger,
Sorry i don't see, it's mac switch.
Perhaps problem with enfocus and afp/smb network.
A solution maybe connect your HP volume in your switch flow with
1. applescript :
for example i find this in http://hints.macworld.com forum :
tell application "Terminal"
activate
do script ¬
"diskutil unmount "/Volumes/YOURVOLUME"" in ¬
"diskutil mount "/Volumes/YOURVOLUME"" in ¬
window frontmost
delay 5
quit
end tell
2. Automator :
tell application "Finder"
try
mount volume "smb://USERNAME:PASSWORD@SERVER/SHARENAME"
delay 1
end try
end tell
I wish I help you.
Emmanuel
PS : sorry for my english, I'm French

In the Switch Preferences there is a section "Remount volumes". There you can specify what volumes Switch has to mount automatically. Just add your volume there and when it disappears because of a reboot Switch will automatically mount it again when it is available.

at least in theory, but even with these settings in place connections keep getting lost and you need to right click -> reconnect the remote folder for the flow to finally work again - which is kinda frustrating as this mostly always happens at night on the weekends
take this as a warning, it's not as reliable as it promises to be!
Cheers,
Thorsten

We chased that problem for a long time. we finally ended up creating a share folder on the Switch Mac (with read/write permission for the Indigo), then making the Indigo Hotfolder in that share folder. Since the hotfolder is created by the Indigo we then had to adjust the permissions of the hotfolder so that switch could access and place files in the hotfolder. Since switch is always on and sometimes the Indigo might be offline overnight, it was the more logical path. The Indigo then automatically mounts the Switch hotfolder on startup.
