Advanced Switch concepts with scripting XML, SQL and Javascript seminar @ Graph Expo

Apago will be holding a one day hands-on seminar on advanced scripting concepts with XML, SQL and Javascript during Graph Expo 2014. We had great feedback from last two seminars and will be incorporating more hands-on exercises. Bring your list of questions and requirements and we will work through them.

Tuesday September 30, 2014 from 9am to 4pm

Cost $1,250 for one, $2,000 for two ($500 discount)

No Javascript experience is required. This class will cover the basics of the JavaScript language and then move on to Switch specific topics including metadata, XML and SQL.

Attendees will take home a USB dongle full of example flows, scripts and Javascript snippets. Worth the admission price alone.

Introduction to JavaScript

variables and data types

operators

conditionals (if/else, switch/case)

loops (while, do/while, for)

functions

Using JavaScript in Switch

Javascript expressions

Using SwitchScripter

jobArrived and timerFired functions

Logging and debugging tips

Using metadata, XML and SQL database

Breakout session

Your opportunity to create your own Switch scripts, ask questions & get help from experts and fellow attendees.

The breakout session will be an open format with Q&A. I will also be available to help you with your Switch flows and scripts

Do you also need a ticket for Graph Expo to attend?

This seminar is very interesting for me, but I need to travel from Denmark to attend.

Due to demand we will be offering a remote option for this class. The classroom will be equipped with web cameras, two-way wireless audio systems and interactive whiteboards. This equipment enables remote students to “virtually” enter into our classroom from any location that has an Internet connection. Simply log into our software system from their own computers and the live classroom feed displays on your monitor. See & hear everything in real-time, raise your hand & ask questions and view all instructor visuals.

The remote option sounds like a good idea.

Is it the same price and still with access to the examples from the USB?

And where do I sign up?
