Pitstop Server - XML variable set

Can someone hint me on how to use XML metadata in order to input it to Pitstop Server Configurator?

In the PitStop Server element "Variable set" - "Select variable set". This will open a dialog where you cannot only select a variable set, but also create one. When you add variables you can set the type to "Text with variables" and you define the path to the metadata in the normal way.

You will of course need a preflight profile/action list that use these variables.
