Add new layer to PDF

I have a pdf which has a magenta line used to indicate a cutting path, I want to automate adding a new layer, naming it and moving the magenta line onto the layer. We have switch and Pitstop Pro, can anyone point me in the right direction. Cheers Chris

If you talk about automating this you will need PitStop Server, but in PitStop Pro you can already make the Action List that does what you need:

Select color (choose probably stroke, but check that; choose CMYK and set M to 100, the rest to 0)
Select line art
AND
Assign objects to layer with name (and give the layer a suitable name)
