SWITCH 10

Hi there!

Anyone who have any opinions regarding the new SWITCH 10?

I´ve installed the trialversion for test on my local machine and I think it loads a little bit faster than 9, but else it looks the same.

Want to hear about there is any common problems until we upgrade in production environment.

We have four licenses of PowerSWITCH 09, update 3 running.

Henrik - I upgraded straight away (now on PowerSWITCH 10, update 2) - everything's been fine here...

Update 2, where can I find that?

I think it´s really difficult to find updates on Enfocus webpage. I can only find Enfocus_PO_10.exe

Alas - I cannot give you a direct link Henrik - it's an update issued to us via our Maintenance contract, it comes from the Esko DL site - but you are correct, there doesn't appear to a download available...

there is no Switch 10, update 2 available, the most recent version released is Switch 10.

We are working on a Switch 10, update 1, but that one is not final yet.

Is there any schedule for update 1 then?

We have som "small" requests for future releases:

- Include textboxes and symbols in the flow to make it easier to describe some functions for supportstaff.

- Manage the size of the elements in the flow (eg folders between "functions"). Will make it easier to overview the high priority folders-

- Turn off the calculating on folders (we have performanceproblems if there is more than 99 files in a folder and have a lot of such folders, eg for backup a few days)

- Format folders with colors (to make it easier to find starting and ending points in big flows)

My mistake - it's PitStop Server 10 update 2, not Power Switch

Initials are too similar for my meagre processing power...

Ok we´ll wait until update 1 then to be sure.

Another post says it´s not comaptible with Acrobat X, but we still use 9. Please report other similar problems here.

Hi!

Update 1 for SWITCH 10 is now availible.

How should I best upgrade from SWITCH 09.

First install SWITCH 10 and then the upgrade or directly use the upgrade file?

I´m answering myself

Use the upgradefile!

EDIT

4 step installation:

1: Backup server & flows

2: Install Enfocus_PO_10_update1.exe

3: Activate your new license

4: Deactivate your old license with Local License Manager, http://www.enfocus.com/kb.php?id=7028

GO!

Hello Rossini,

thank you for this short instruction, but the shown link for deactivating the old license fails (page not found).

Is there anywhere another link instead?

Hi Tkittel!

Sorry I was to quick with this instruction.

We upgraded from PS 09, upd 3 to SWITCH 10.1

First I found out that I should deactivate PS09, but then the licencekey did´nt get activated correctly.

It is mandatory the 09 key is also activated on the same machine in order to have Switch fully licensed. This depending on your type of key of course, we had an upgrade key.

You can then manage all your licenses with Local License manager:
