Hello!
I'm trying create list of all (spot)colors in a pdf file, using the 'Stats.Colorants' variable of PowerSwitch 09. Using this variable, I expected a result as indexed text, showing the names of the separations.
Testing with different pdf files and the 'condition with variables" function manually, the 'sample value' always shows nothing - it's blank. How to use this variable successfully?
In the next step I'll try to automate creating this list of colors. Therefore I'll define a new field "color_list" and use the scripting API within an checkpoint (to communicate with the client version).
Any ideas, how to realize?
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
Stats.Colorants only works for TIFF files.
You could use Apago's PDFspy, which is supported by Switch Configurator, to retrieve the spot colors in a PDF file.
I created a simple Switch scripted condition that enumerates the spot colors in PDF. Contact me if you want a copy.
