Impostrip Configurator

Hi,
I have set up a demo ground for Switch and some third-party vendors at AWS. Unfortunately does Ultimates license system not allow cloud installations.
My question:
How does the configurator talks to the Impostrip installation - can they be at different urls?

This may no longer be the case, but in the recent past Ultimate had a license for a dongle serial and you had to request a different license for a "software license" that would play nice with virtual machines. I've always found the Ultimate Technographics support to be very helpful with these things.
