Save optimized

In order to reduce the file size of incoming PDF's I want to "save as" the pdf as "Adobe PDF, optimized".
But in the configurator for Acrobat Professionnal this save option is not available.

Has someone done this before? How can this be achieved?

You will have to write an Acrobat Javascript to call that menu item or the built-in preflight.

Other options are Enfocus Pitstop Server, Apago PDF Enhancer and callas pdfToolBox.
