FitRoom technology

Post by thiefcrazy98 »

Hi everyone! I recently came across the FitRoom technology – it’s like a replacement for trying on clothes using AI. The idea is that you can “try on” things without leaving your home and see how they will fit on your body. It’s really interesting! But I have a few questions. How accurately can this technology predict how a thing will fit on a real body?

I have used AI fitting room several times and I can say that it is actually a very convenient tool for online shopping, although, like any new technology, it is not perfect. In general, the system creates an accurate virtual model based on your parameters, such as height, weight, body type and even posture. You can see how the clothes will fit on you, which significantly reduces the risk that the item will be too small or too big. However, it is important to understand that the accuracy of this system directly depends on the quality of the data you enter and how well the algorithm is configured in a particular online store. For example, I noticed that in some stores FitRoom really shows how the clothes fit, especially in the case of basic items like T-shirts, jeans or sweaters. But when I tried to try on more complex items, such as jackets or coats, the accuracy dropped a little. This is due to the fact that such things require taking into account a lot of details - fabric, fit, seams, etc. An important point: the system cannot yet fully convey the sensations of fabric - it cannot simulate how a certain fabric will behave in reality when moving. For example, jeans or a suit made of thick material may look perfect on a virtual model, but in reality they may fit differently, due to the stiffness of the fabric or the specifics of the cut.

I think this is a very interesting and useful technology, especially for those who often shop online but have problems choosing. Of course, like any new product, FitRoom cannot solve all the issues, but it definitely makes the shopping process easier and safer. This can be compared to virtual fitting rooms in stores, where you can "try on" shoes or accessories, but now it concerns not only the size, but also the fit of the clothes.
