How to extend an Ethernet network without laying new cables?

Hey everyone, I’ve got a bit of a situation at home. My office is in the attic, but my router is on the ground floor. I tried using Wi-Fi, but the signal is weak, and I get random disconnects during video calls. Running a new Ethernet cable isn’t really an option since I’d have to drill through multiple walls and floors. I looked into powerline adapters, but I’ve heard mixed reviews about them. Has anyone dealt with something similar? How did you extend your network without running new cables?

Funny timing—I just moved into a new apartment and realized how much of a headache networking can be. My place has thick concrete walls, and even Wi-Fi extenders don’t help much.
