I can't Open anything in InDesign CS4

Hi everyone. I just started the trial for FullSwitch today and I've already hit a roadblock.
For testing, I'm trying to create a very simple flow:
Hotfolder ->(INDD file)-> InDesign ->(INDD file)-> Processed Folder
The flow really doesn't do anything useful, but InDesign should open the file and save it in the Processed folder.
I'm getting this error:
"Script returned error: "
As you can see, I get no useful information. When I activate the flow and throw a file into the hotfolder, InDesign comes into the foreground and then just sits there and never does anything. Eventually the error shows up and FS moves the INDD file out of the hotfolder.
Any thoughts? Am I supposed to be using a script for opening instead of automatic? I'm not sure where to begin writing an opening script - any examples out there?
This is all running on a Win2k8 R2 SP1 server. FullSwitch 10 and InDesign CS4.
Thanks.
