Routing black only PDF separately from 4 color process
I'm trying to route PDFs that are "Black only" separately from PDFs that are 4 color process so they can travel to different devices. I've been looking in pitstop preflight profiles or actions an haven't found anything obvious for detecting if a file has measurable amounts of C-M-Y. It doesn't make it any easier that "black" can be in the file in several different forms. (device N, gray, 0c0m0y100k)
Alright; Here's what I did. I "carefully" managed my black colors to gray with pitstop actions in a PitstopServer configurator.
1. remap rgb and impure grays to gray
2. remap 0c0m0y100k to gray
3. remap the last one again to 100% gray (white) since it came out at 98.2% (it had a light dot pattern I had to get rid of.
Then it goes to a PitstopServer preflight and if it only detects the one separation, It enters the path for grayscale jobs. So far it works ... Buy me a good Belgian beer if you use this.

Do you have MIS? - then you could query the database to get job intent, split the job in your flow to the appropriate devices (at that point I would direct them to our Speedflow too, and colour convert accordingly)

I just uploaded a simple flow that uses Apago's PDFspy to sort PDF files by color or black-only.
