Multiple Native Files in Single Folder

Hi all,

We have ran into the problem when a client uploads multiple .ai files all in a single folder, the Illustrator module will only process 1 of the files. We can't simply ungroup them and run them through individually because they also send links/fonts in subfolders that need to accompany each .ai file through the process. Is there a way to force Illustrator/Switch to process all of the .ai files in the main folder? Or if not, does anyone have a method for splitting out each .ai file into it's own folder and include all of the links/fonts subfolders in each as well?

I hope that made sense, if not I can try to clarify more.

Thanks.

I guess this is what "Split multi-job" is for. Insert the Split multi-job configurator and define .ai as the "Main file type". That should give you separate folders each containing only one AI-file and a copy of all other files (linked files).

Interesting. Did not know it worked that way.

Yes, Gabriel. It's quite handy. I've used it for processing InDesign books, where you have the same problem, that only one of the InDesign-files will be processed.

Oh wow, that's perfect! I glanced right over that tool when I was initially troubleshooting this problem. Thanks fellas!
