Are you are injecting from a static job repository?

So, a file with stripped unique name is the injected job?

What exactly do you mean by static job repository?

Like this, with this settings my private data is not discarded, that's for sure :)

Yep, without private data a file dies within one hop in my flows :)

Can you screenshot your settings?

Weird, looks like the same settings over here.

Hmm, what's in your Job name variable?

Only: [Job.NameProper]

Wow! Sorry man, I think I misunderstood somewhere. My inject job and original job do have the same metadata, so the metadata is not of the injected job but the incoming job.

However, since the injected job does not have the unique name anymore all metadata of this job is discarded, I bet there's no way around that one.

True but could the job being injected be packed? If so, you could inject and unpack, keeping the metadata.
