Switch Logs Warnings in Photoshop

I started noticing this in Switch 11. Not sure if the warning started after I installed Photoshop CC or not but every time a file is opened in Photoshop, Switch logs 2 Warnings with the Control Module. Both warnings look like this:

Possible errors in AppleScript: the command '/usr/bin/osascript /tmp/SWITCH_applescript__38b54d0a' returned warning '2014-03-06 12:11:30.726 osascript[2168:507] Error loading /Library/ScriptingAdditions/QXPScriptingAdditions.osax/Contents/MacOS/QXPScriptingAdditions: dlopen(/Library/ScriptingAdditions/QXPScriptingAdditions.osax/Contents/MacOS/QXPScriptingAdditions_ 262): no suitable image found. Did find: /Library/ScriptingAdditions/QXPScriptingAdditions.osax/Contents/MacOS/QXPScriptingAdditions: no matching architecture in universal wrapper osascript: OpenScripting.framework - scripting addition "/Library/ScriptingAdditions/QXPScriptingAdditions.osax" declares no loadable handlers. '

We are running three Switch Servers and all log the same warnings. The only thing they have in common is all three are running CC.

Switch 11 on Mountain Lion

Switch 12 on Mountain Lion

Switch 12 on Mavericks

Anyone else running into this? The files seem to process fine but the logs are filled with these. What does it mean??

Thanks!

I'm glad for you it works in spite of the error message, but CC is only officially supported as of Switch 12. Should you still see that message in 12, report it to support@enfocus.com.

It's showing up on our Switch 12 servers as well as the 11 server. I'll report to support.

Thanks

I see the exact same error using InDesign Server with Switch 12 and in this case the files does not come through. I'm also on Mavericks with Switch 12.

I had another look at this and it is related to the Quark Scripting Additions. They are written for 32-bit and when your application is 64-bit you will get these messages. There are several people complaining on different forums, it is certainly not limited to Photoshop/Indesign.

The Quark site offers no solution. In fact, nobody is coming up with a "real" solution. There are at most workarounds: put your application in 32-bit mode, or trash the Quark osax file from /Library/ScriptingAdditions. A well-behaved new version of the Quark osax does not seem to be available. Did anybody else have any luck finding something?

If you are not using Quark scripting on the Switch computer the easiest approach will be to delete the osax file, I am afraid. Let us know if this worked out for you.

I could easily live without the Quark scripting-thing, but when I trash that I just get another error in Switch when trying to use InDesign Server. The error is this:

01/04/14 16.40,Error,InDesign Server, "flow name",InDesign Server,0092Y,"File name",Script returned error: /tmp/SWITCH_applescript__5dff0fc1:236:248: execution error: Expected end of line, etc. but found “script”. (-2741)
