A printed job ticket

As part of my effort to organize the internal workflow I would like to prepare a printable (pdf) job ticket which includes all the metadata (external and internal).
I may be totally wrong but the only way I found (and I am new to the environment) is to export metadata convert it to csv (xslt) and to merge it with an VDP template (let's say Designer).
I have all the modules but before getting to code it I would like to know whether there is a easier way.
Thank you
Ariel

I've implemented many simple and complex job tickets for my customers using Apago PDF Constructor. A Switch script creates an XML description of job ticket layout including text, barcodes, images, PDF pages, form fields, etc which PDF Constructor converts to PDF.

sounds very interesting!
Unfortunately, we have already installed Indesign Server and DEsigner Server which as far as I understand - are covering more or less the same functionality.

there are no technical data on your ticket. What is the best way to extract size, color space, bleed and so on from the pdf file to a csv or at least to xml?

Use Switch's Statistics variables or for more detailed information use Apago PDFspy.
