hi,
I have a pdf file which should be only with one spot color. Unfortunately, the white text on the spot color is recognized as cmyk.
I already tried to convert it to the spot checks color with 0% but for some reasons the resulting color has more than 0% of the spot.
I am not s specs in pitstop, I hope someone can help me out,
Thanks
Ariel

How did you convert the 0% CMYK? What type of object was it? Was an ICC profile attached to the object?

Hi Freddy,
we used "convert to color" and chose the relevant spot color (before we prepared the spot color for 0%).
We did it on all objects that responded to the condition of being CMYK. No, no ICC profile.
Thanks
Ariel

The selection should be "Select color - CMYK - everything 0%", followed by "Change color". You may want to do this twice, once for filled objects, once for stroked objects.

I tried this. It always converts to the spot color with 5.3%
Any ideas?

Are you sure you used "Change color" instead of "Convert color"? List all the Actions you use.

Freddy - you are the man! It worked!!!
How did you know that I used convert color:)
What is the exact difference between those two actions?

Convert Color will use the Color Management Setup and convert from the source-profile to the destination-profile, while Change Color will simply change between the chosen values.
