Switch 12 update 3 - strange behavior

Hi,

I am working with Smartstream Composer for VDP. There is no configurator yet so I have to use its hot folder.

I am almost sure that with Switch 12 update 2 everything worked fine but now I have the following behavior:

Switch is providing the database file to Composer's hotfolder. Composer goes to the state "waiting" instead of "processing". Only after restarting the composer process it takes the file and everything works ok. When I put the file manually into the hot folder it works ok.

I played with "Strip identifier" but it does not help. I cannot see any lock on the file (Windows 2008 R2).

Any ideas?

Ariel

The behavior of "Generic application" has not changed in update 3, so I see no explanation for what is happening.

Why is it related to generic application?

I solved it temporarily by not making the hot folder of Composer the final folder in the flow but s.copy (ing) the file into the hot folder. Now it works but I will open a case at Enfocus

I was assuming you used the "Generic application" element to drop jobs into the Composer's hot folder and to pick up the processed result. Apparently you are not doing that.

I am using a regular folder as the "last station" of the flow. This folder is the hot folder of the Composer.

Support thinks it has something to do with the handling of hidden files.

I will update as soon as I have made any progress
