PitStop Server Basic error

Hi,

My flow causes following error, when jobs arrive at PitStop Server configurators.

349: Error while creating handle to the input file (PitStop Library error code 8003): Basic error.

I set an Illustrator configurator followed by 8 PitStop Server configurators.

The 8 PitStop Server configurators are parallel because I have to create 8 copies of the job.

Especially when I import some jobs at the same time, the errors are occurred.

It maybe happened when the Illustrator process and PitStop Server processes clash with each other.

But if I change the number of "Concurrent processing tasks" of the User Preferences to "1", all processes finish without error.

(The original number of "Concurrent processing tasks" is "4".)

Is there anyone saw the same error?

Your problem is that the 8 PitStop Server instances are reading from the same input file at the same time. Because the file is locked when it is being read, 1 process will actually have control over it and the other 7 processes will find the file locked.

Solve it by putting an extra folder in front of every PitStop Server instance.

Hi Freddy,

Thank you for your advise.

But I couldn't avoid the error.

If I import 15 files, Switch make 120 copies of them.

Then about 4 jobs are moved to Problem Jobs folder with the error.

When I import smaller files, it is OK.

Do you think it is related to my machine spec?
