Problems executing "In" folder on SMB share (Samba)

We have big problems with Pitstop server (running on Mac) executing the "In" hotfolder. The hotfolders are on Linux servers shared with SMB (samba). We have the same setup in many locations in the world (Stockholm, Warsaw, Istanbul, Bangkok, India, and soon also in Jakarta and Mexico), so right now this is a quite big problem for us. It started for appr 2-2,5 months ago (before we didn't have these sort of problem) and we are not sure what caused it to start happen.
This is the problem: When the jobs are added to the "In" folder, the Pitstop server can see the files (since you can see it in the "files in queue" list). But then nothing happens. We suspect a privileges issue, but since we can both copy and delete from the folder in Finder we really don't understand. We have also, together with censhare, the vendor of the production system we are using, made all necessary settings in Samba, and they can only see that everything is correct and thinks it is a Pitstop issue.
Anyone having had the same experience?
Best regards
Johan
